Maple Glazed Ham
1/2 cup Pure Vermont Maple Syrup
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tbsp prepared mustard (I use spicy brown mustard)
Combine ingredients. Spread over ham after you have removed the rind. Baste during the last hour of cooking every 10 minutes
Spicy maple turkey burger
1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
2/3 cup shredded carrot
2 tbsp yellow onion
1/2 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp siracha (or your favorite hot sauce)
2 tbsp Pure Vermont Maple Syrup
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Combine all ingredients for burger in a medium bowl. Form 4 patties. Place on medium-high heat grill. Cook to preference. Place on grilled bun and add desired toppings. I like tomato and avocado!
Maple Glazed Carrots
6-8 medium carrots
1/2 cup Pure Vermont Maple Syrup
2 tbsp butter
Clean and slice carrots. Melt butter and maple syrup in a large iron skillet and add carrots. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until liquid is absorbed and slices are well glazed.
mapled sweet potatoes
5-6 medium sweet potatoes
3/4 cup Pure Vermont Maple Syrup
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Cook potatoes until tender. Peel and slice lengthwise. Arrange in a baking dish. Pour maple syrup and orange juice evenly over potatoes. Dot with butter. Salt and dash with nutmeg. Bake uncovered in 325*F oven 30-35 minutes.
